EX SOUP

PRÁCTICAS CONTAMINADAS Y NO DETERMINISTAS, CONTINUAS E INACABADAS, DEL VIVIR ENTRE RUINAS

“Tulum”

El objeto dejó de ser
una estructura cerrada
para convertirse en una acumulación,
una constelación de partes
que pueden ser reutilizadas
reapropiadas
Y reconectadas entre ellas

---------------------------------------------

Our built environment
consists largely of liquids once molten,
now cool and rigid.
Plastic, asphalt, glass, modern concrete and steel
are cogealed ex soups.
Part or all of each has bean heated to hundreds,
even thousands of degrees

ex soup is an open code design practice
that samples and loops residual materials
building experimental objects
with abandoned ex soups:
industrial waste,
auto parts,
textile,
chatter,
fragments of everything...

We explore through urban dwelling
new ways to assemble our life objects,
cycling and queering materials,
reusing and reparing
revealing
our urban vernacular
building with whatever is left,
improvising
towards a post-extractive design practice.

The new asthetic we are calling on
is based in a form of constructive transparecy
offering an open book account
of the materials and its history
perceiving the beauty
of these neglected items
