Un interior compuesto por diferentes ensambles de material encontrado,
por desechos de la ciudad y de sus edificios; blocks, tabiques, tablas,
vigas, varillas, mallas, alambres, azulejos, retazos. Un catálogo de
recolección, de encuentros afortunados con materiales disparejos.

El utilitario exsoup juega con la gravedad, las formas y el equilibrio,
modificando y ajustando sin plan previo, probando las fuerzas de la
composición. Los ensambles se arman con herramientas comunes y sin
pegamento, proponiendo una metodología de autonomía.Se construye
hacia arriba,en un minucioso ajuste de pesos,tensiones y
balances hasta encontrar el "mueble"; lo ergonómico,estructural,
estético, resuelto, reactivo.

La filósofa brasileña Suely Rolnik invoca el hacer de la araña en su
telar. Gracias a los hilos en tensión, la araña lee e interpreta las
constantes vibraciones de su entorno y ajusta la geometría de red,
adaptándose constantemente.
Desde su cuerpo y desde la tela, la araña se hace receptiva a las constantes
alteraciones de su mundo, y se ancla en ellas. El cambio es constante y,
como dice la novelsita Octavia Butler, "Dios es Cambio".


El proceso exsoup comparte con la araña el anclarse en un flujo
constante de escombro. Cada día se descartan toneladas de desperdicio
de obras, demoliciones, pasarelas, escaparates e interiores que se
incorporan a paisajes de fierro viejo. Al ser recolectados y reunidos,
estos elementos aleatorios, disparejos y rotos se visten de nuevos
potenciales; la unión de la malla electrosoldada y el block de vidrio,
el espejo y el tabique dan lugar a formas inesperadas y nuevas posibilidades
desde las márgenes de la modernidad.

city waste: blocks, bricks, boards, beams, rods, wire mesh, tiles,
cutoffs. A catalog of collections fortunate encounters with disparate

Its components are modified and adjusted without a defined plan, testing
the forces at play in their composition. The assemblage processes rely
upon ordinary tools and refrain from using glue, proposing an autonomous
method. The pieces are built upwards, meticulously adjusting weights,
tensions and balances until finding their construct: ergonomic, structural,
esthetic, resolved and reactive.


The Brazilian philosopher Suely Rolnik invokes the labor of spiders as
they weave their webs. Through each thread, the spider reads and
interprets the constant vibrations of her surroundings and adjusts
the net's geometries in a continuous response. From her web, the spider
is in a constant state of receptiveness to the alterations of her world,
and she anchors helselft in this motion. Change is constant, and "God is
Change", says the novelist Octavia Butler.


The utilitarian spirit of exsoup shares with the spider a need to anchor
itself in a constant flow, the motion of an unrelenting stream waste.
Everyday, tons of
materials are discarded from constructions, demolitions, storefronts,
sets and
interiors, and become part of new landfill landscapes.
The recollection and union of these accidental, uneven and broken
elements make room for new potentials.
Together, the wire mesh and the glass brick, alongside the mirror and
the concrete block, create unexpected associations and draw new
possibilities of creation from the fringes of modernity.

open and free research project.
